Terms of Service

Takenote is a web-based platform that allows users to create a personal public wall where other people can leave text messages or drawings.

Takenote provides tools for creating, displaying, managing, pinning, and deleting whispers.

To create a wall, you must create an account and provide the information required by Takenote.

You are responsible for:

• keeping your account credentials secure;
• providing accurate information;
• all activity performed through your account; and
• notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

Each account is currently limited to one wall.

Visitors may submit text messages or drawings to a public wall.

By submitting a note, you understand that:

• the content may be visible to visitors of the wall;
• the note may be stored on Takenote's systems;
• you should not submit information that you do not want publicly displayed; and
• you remain responsible for the content you submit.

Takenote does not guarantee that a note will remain available indefinitely.

Notes submitted by visitors are displayed as anonymous whispers to the wall owner and other visitors.

However, “anonymous” refers to how the note is displayed within the Takenote interface. It should not be interpreted as a guarantee that no technical information associated with a submission may exist in system logs or infrastructure used to operate the service.

You must not use Takenote to submit content that:

• violates applicable laws or regulations;
• threatens, harasses, or intimidates another person;
• contains malicious or harmful content;
• impersonates another person for fraudulent purposes;
• intentionally distributes another person's private or confidential information;
• contains malware or attempts to compromise the service;
• infringes intellectual property or other legal rights; or
• is otherwise abusive or harmful to the service or its users.

Takenote reserves the right to remove content or restrict access to accounts or walls when reasonably necessary to:

• enforce these Terms;
• protect users;
• protect the service;
• comply with applicable law; or
• respond to abuse, security incidents, or other harmful activity.

Wall owners may delete whispers from their wall using the available deletion functionality.

When a drawing note is deleted, the associated drawing file may also be removed from the storage system.

Takenote's software, interface, branding, design, and other original materials are owned by their respective rights holders unless otherwise stated.

You retain your rights to content you submit, subject to the permissions necessary for Takenote to store and display that content as part of providing the service.

Takenote is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently retain any particular content.

We may modify, add, or remove features from Takenote as the service develops.

We may also update these Terms when necessary. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.

We may suspend or terminate access to Takenote when reasonably necessary to address violations of these Terms, security concerns, abuse, or legal requirements.

You may also stop using Takenote at any time.
